I then cut a brass strip to slide into the dovetail slot which covers the peg slot, thus creating a storage area.
I then put in a 3/8' flat bit to cut a 1/4' deep slot that is 1/8' narrower and shorter than the dovetail slot. The basics are I use a 1/2' dovetail bit raised 1/8' to cut a 1' wide slot open on end of the board. I have a process that I use to cut a storage slot on the backs of my cribbage boards using a router table which I would like to transfer to my CNC router.
